A Cold Start to 2021

A Cold Start to 2021
2021 has started us of with several different meteorological conditions. It’s safe to say with the various locations of works across multiple projects with Ready Power, Graham’s, Siemens, MITA, QTS and SES to name a few; our teams have seen it all. From Storm Christoph; supplying some northern parts of the country with January’s average months’ worth of rain in just 3 days to the addition of snow along with sub-zero temperatures, some lower than -11 degrees Celsius in Scotland!

When weather as potentially dangerous as this arrives, all precautions that can be taken, must be taken.  This is to protect all essential workers who must travel to the office and those who are traveling to, and working out on site. To ensure the safety of our teams, an initial distribution of both weather and driving warnings were sent out to raise awareness, staff were supplied with the necessary equipment and provided with hotels where needed.

We would like to extend a big thank you to all staff working over the last couple of weeks in these extremely cold and harsh conditions. Although challenged, our teams have still managed to continue work to the high standard that our clients have all come to expect, while keeping safety our number one priority.
